I’ve had every test imaginable and still no diagnosis!
I’ve spent a fortune on blood tests, X-rays, scans, etc. and I’m still ill
There’s got to be something which I can do to help
I’ve had so much blood taken it’s a wonder I’m still alive
Medical investigations have made spectacular contributions to medical science in recent years and have saved many lives.
For serious illness, investigations need to be thorough and exhaustive, and sometimes attending different doctors is necessary before a test proves vital in establishing a diagnosis which leads to successful therapy.
However, more tests do not necessarily mean a greater chance of finding a remedy.
Complex, expensive tests carried out in hospitals or clinics are not without their own risks.
We cannot rely totally upon our doctor and her investigations. There’s a part we need to play as well.
How do you know how many tests to have?
